Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The position will lead and develop the team(s) to meet various obligations required for power generation at a Pattern Energy operating site.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Support the Facility Manager in all areas of Pattern's operation. Ensure a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations.
  • Lead the use of maintenance documentation, reporting tools, and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and supervision for wind generation equipment and power delivery systems, as well as other facility civil work, building maintenance, and upkeep.
  • Enable teammates’ ability and awareness to work safely and stop work. Support driving the injury-free workplace culture by facilitating safe work habits, hazard recognition, risk assessment, peer-to-peer feedback, and proper use of human performance tools.
  • Manage site-specific and corporate procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs, and work practices, updating them as required.
  • Balance and support the facility's public relations and community engagement.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and associated permits using the CMMS.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Electrical or Mechanical troubleshooting experience with power delivery and wind applications.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
Education

A diploma in a technical or business-related field or equivalent experience.

  • Electrical/Mechanical apprentice or Red Seal certification preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Must reside within 60 miles of the facility’s O&M.
  • Ability to climb turbine towers (>250 feet).
  • Willingness and ability to work under high workloads in stressful and physically demanding conditions, including travel, climbing, exposure to harsh temperatures, extreme driving conditions, and supporting other business units as needed.
  • Understanding of NERC and CIP standards.
