Atelier Simon Thillou inc in Montreal, QC is seeking a Senior Welder-Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves performing MIG and TIG welding on metal parts, reading blueprints, and preparing fabrication work, with a focus on precision and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read welding blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication and assembly of metal parts/structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on metal parts and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Operate and adjust CNC plasma cutting table according to project dimensions.

Tasks

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal parts and structures;
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to prepare fabrication work;
• Operate and adjust a CNC plasma cutting table according to project dimensions and requirements;
• Prepare, assemble, and finish custom-fabricated metal components;
• Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality finish;
• Organize your workstation efficiently and maintain a clean, safe, and functional shop;
• Collaborate with other team members to meet priorities, quality standards, and production deadlines;
• Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

• Relevant experience in MIG and TIG welding;
• Experience in the fabrication and assembly of metal parts or structures;
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings;
• Experience with a CNC plasma cutting table is an asset;
• Ability to take accurate measurements and verify the conformity of parts;
• Good manual dexterity and strong attention to finishing quality;
