Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Utilities Superintendent to oversee gas, electrical, and telecom utility installations in greenfield and brownfield sites around the Kitchener area. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate with subs and clients, and ensure safety and adherence to schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, site supervision, and excellent communication, with travel to multiple sites as needed and a 12-month fixed term engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of utilities installation experience.
• Experience in civil earthworks projects.
• Knowledge of soil types, compaction and grading.
• Experience with trenching methods and equipment.
• Proven ability to oversee gas, electrical and telecom utilities installation.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of gas, electrical, and telecom utilities in greenfield and brownfield sites.
• Coordinate on-site activities to ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure safety regulations and standards are followed.
• Develop and manage project schedules and resources.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subs, and clients.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
