Job summary

Burly Boyz Moving & Storage in Edmonton is looking for an experienced commercial driver to lead a moving crew and operate our 5-ton and 7-ton trucks. This role is about responsibility on the job site, owning the customer experience from start to finish, and guiding the crew to deliver safe, damage-free moves.

You will drive safely in urban and long-distance moves, complete pre-trip inspections, supervise helpers, handle loading, padding, and securing goods, and resolve on-site issues while

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years paid Canadian commercial driving experience.
• 5-tonne or larger vehicle experience.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault collisions in 3 years.
• Proven leadership on a crew or job site.
• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Clear written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Operate the truck safely in residential and urban Edmonton, with out-of-town and long-distance runs.
• Run the crew on site - assign the work, set the pace, train and correct helpers, and ensure quality.
• Protect the customer's home and goods: padding, wrapping, floor protection, loading and securing the truck.
• Assist with lifting alongside the crew, up to 100 lbs, including stairs.
• Calculate the customer’s bill, write the invoice, collect payment, and handle on-site questions.
• Complete daily pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate records (E-logs).
