Job summary

Burly Boyz Moving & Storage in Edmonton is seeking movers to join our local crews. You ride with a driver, pad and wrap furniture, protect the customer's home, and load/unload at the destination. This is physical work with real customers in homes, and compensation is above general labour because of the responsibility.

We offer full-time hours, a path to driver, foreman, and operations roles, health benefits after 3 months, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Physically able to carry furniture and boxes daily.
• Comfortable speaking with customers in their homes.
• Working English and legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Move, pad and wrap furniture, protect customers' homes, carry and load goods.
• Unload and set up at the destination and assist on-site at the end.

Job description

Burly Boyz Moving & Storage is hiring movers for our Edmonton crews. You ride with a driver, pad and wrap the furniture, protect the customer's home, carry and load the goods, and unload and set up at the other end. It is physical work with real customers in real homes, and it pays above general labour because of it.

PAY

• $55,000 - $66,000 per year, based on experience and what you bring to the crew
• Tips average an additional $2-4/hr
• Raises are earned on performance, not time served
• Driver path: hold a Class 5 for 3 years, prove you're reliable, and we train you to drive our trucks at driver pay

WHAT WE NEED

• 18 or older
• Physically fit for a full day of moving - carrying furniture and boxes through the day, occasional lifts up to 100 lbs, stairs included
• On time, every shift - the truck leaves without you
• Flexible on hours and days, with early starts
• Comfortable speaking with customers in their homes
• Working English
• Legally able to work in Canada

SCHEDULE & WORK DETAILS

• Full-time, typically 45-50 hours per week
• More hours available on Long Distance jobs (up to 70) and for those who want them
• Flexible schedule that changes to accommodate our customers' needs
• Early start times
• In-person, physically demanding, safety-sensitive role

WHAT WE'LL ASK FOR

Your last three jobs with dates, and a hands-on skills and fitness evaluation with our foreman. Experience in moving, warehouse, construction, landscaping or delivery is an asset, not a requirement - we'll train the work if you bring the fitness and the reliability.
