Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Terrestrial Biologist or Ecologist for its Ecological Services Team in Mississauga to support mining, nuclear and linear infrastructure projects across Canada.

The role involves fieldwork, data analysis, report preparation and client advisory work, with travel to various locations in Canada as needed. A strong background in ecology, environmental assessment and regulatory frameworks is essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in biology, ecology, wildlife or natural resources.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in biology, ecology and environmental assessment projects.
• Ability to prepare professional reports for senior staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to technical and commercial ecological proposals.
• Provide strategic guidance on environmental risks, permits and regulatory compliance.
• Design field work for environmental assessments and surveys.
• Prepare technical specifications and reports such as EIAs and Species Conservation Plans.
• Support growth of Ecological Services, especially for EA/IA projects.
• Manage field work logistics, teams and project budgets.
