Job summary

Alquemy in Toronto is seeking a Lead, Technology Strategy & Innovation to bridge business and technology for a large AI Transformation. You’ll assess workflows, identify where AI, data, automation or tech can improve processes, and partner with engineering and risk teams to move solutions forward.

You’ll lead discovery sessions, translate business needs into actionable recommendations, and support AI use cases across research, due diligence, reporting and portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in technology strategy, transformation, consulting, investment tech or related roles.
• Strong stakeholder-facing communication and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience with technology-enabled transformation or process improvement.
• Hands-on with GenAI tools and practical prompting/workflow understanding.
• Ability to bridge business needs and technology across diverse teams.

We’re hiring a business-facing technology strategy professional to support a large AI Transformation. This role sits between investment/business teams and technology. You’ll help understand business problems, identify where AI, data, automation or technology can improve workflows, and work with technical teams to move solutions forward.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points and priorities
• Identify practical opportunities across AI, data, automation and process improvement
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops and workstreams
• Translate business needs into clear recommendations and implementation considerations
• Support AI use cases across areas such as research, due diligence, reporting, portfolio monitoring and document-heavy processes
• Work closely with engineering, data, architecture, product, risk and security teams
• Help drive adoption of new technology and AI-enabled workflows

What we’re looking for:

• 4-5+ years in technology strategy, transformation, consulting, investment technology, product, business analysis or a similar role
• Strong stakeholder-facing communication and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience working on technology-enabled transformation or process improvement initiatives
• Practical experience with GenAI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar
• Understanding of when to use basic prompting/chat vs structured AI workflows or agentic solutions
• Comfortable working across business and technology teams and navigating ambiguous problems

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, Python, automation or data platforms
• Experience supporting AI proof-of-concepts or adoption initiatives
