Qualifications

• P.Eng. designation with active registration through APEGA.
• Experience in structural design and calculations.
• Experience with precast concrete and infrastructure projects is desirable.
• Ability to lead an internal engineering function and collaborate with manufacturing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-house Civil/Structural Engineer for Calgary and Red Deer operations.
• Take ownership of structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical assessments for precast concrete products and underground structures.
• Review, stamp, and sign off on relevant engineering work per APEGA requirements.
• Support Estimating with technical guidance during tendering and project evaluations.
• Establish and implement engineering procedures, standards, and best practices as the function grows in-house.
