Job summary

Nexii Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead design efforts for high‑performance, panelized building systems outside Vancouver, BC. You will guide project life cycles from conceptual design to on‑site assembly, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires P.Eng. eligibility (or transfer), 7–10 years in structural design, and strong knowledge of Canadian codes with experience in steel, concrete, and wood construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• P.Eng. registration or eligible via transfer from another Canadian jurisdiction.
• 7–10 years of structural building design experience.
• Knowledge of Canadian building codes; familiarity with US codes an asset.
• Experience with steel, concrete and wood construction; drafting tools like Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards, design tools, and technical specifications for Nexii products.
• Communicate engineering concepts across diverse teams in a timely manner.
• Identify and resolve technical problems and troubleshoot issues.
• Review and support drawings and documentation for fabrication, permits, and construction.
• Provide structural engineering services as the engineer of record and coordinate with external consultants.
• Review and prepare evaluation reports, presentations, and technical documents.
• Support manufacturing with plant/process improvements.
• Assist sales/marketing with guidelines, product specs, and technical support.
