Job summary

Department for Transport is seeking a Lead Service Transition Manager to coordinate resources, processes and activities to deliver smooth, sustainable service transitions into live operation. You will oversee planning, risk management and supplier relationships across multiple projects and teams, ensuring readiness before go-live.

You will lead a multidisciplinary delivery, champion best practices in service management and FinOps, and drive continuous improvement across the service lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering transitions into live service environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across projects and suppliers.
• Understanding of operational readiness, risk, and service quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate resources to ensure that services are effectively transitioned into live operation.
• Coordinate activities across projects, suppliers and service teams.
• Manage the flow of change into the production estate with appropriate diligence.
• Lead customer experience and identify opportunities for service improvement and digital adoption.
