Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation in Saskatoon, SK is seeking a hands-on Heavy Duty Mechanic to start within three weeks. This role covers maintenance and repairs of diesel engines, power generation equipment, HVAC systems, and related mechanical systems in both shop and field settings.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, work independently, document service details, and occasionally visit customer sites to demonstrate equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong Heavy Duty mechanical experience.
• Power Generation experience is a big plus.
• Journeyman or Red Seal certification preferred.
• 3–5+ years diagnosing and repairing diesel engines / HD equipment.
• Comfortable reading schematics and working independently.
• Own the tools for the trade.
• Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

We are looking for an independent, hands-on Heavy Duty Mechanic ready to start within the next three weeks.

We’re looking for an independent, hands‑on Heavy Duty Mechanic who is comfortable working both in the shop and as a field tech. You’ll focus on maintenance and repairs of diesel engines, power generation equipment, HVAC systems, and related mechanical systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Working independently in both shop and on‑site/field environments
• Completing service documentation and reporting equipment condition
• Occasional customer‑site visits and equipment demonstrations
• Mentoring junior techs when needed
