Job summary

Ecclesiastical Insurance Canada, part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Risk Control Specialist to join our Toronto office. You will conduct in‑person and virtual property and casualty risk inspections, build valuations, and prepare risk reports, collaborating with underwriting and claims teams to share findings and deliver clear presentations.

The role requires hands‑on risk expertise, strong analytical abilities, and travel within the region.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma or equivalent in risk control or related field.
• CRM/CIP designations preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of risk control, risk services, or loss prevention experience.
• Must have a personal vehicle and valid driving license for business use.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region and to regional offices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk control inspections and building valuations as assigned.
• Prepare written inspection, risk management, and valuation reports per guidelines and timelines.
• Develop and recommend strategies to control and reduce identified risks.
• Consult with customers on protocols and compliance audit requirements.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders; provide technical support and training.
