Job summary

Coast Capital Savings in Toronto seeks a Senior Testing and Quality Assurance Specialist to lead risk-based reviews of internal controls and assess regulatory compliance. You will support governance practices and work with the Three Lines of Defense to strengthen risk management across the organization.

The role offers hybrid work, with in-office attendance as needed, and opportunities to influence enterprise-wide risk initiatives across Compliance, Internal Audit, Treasury, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or risk management.
• 4–6 years in risk management, internal controls testing, audit or compliance.
• Understanding of Three Lines of Defense and risk frameworks.
• Experience testing controls, identifying risks, and evaluating process effectiveness.
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements.
• Professional designations (CPA, CIA, CISA, FRM, ACAMS) are assets.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with data analytics & automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct risk-based reviews of internal controls.
• Evaluate regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks.
• Identify control weaknesses and process improvements; provide recommendations.
• Prepare and present review reports and executive summaries.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Three Lines of Defense.
• Provide advisory support on policies and governance.
• Research emerging risks and regulatory developments.
• Support enterprise risk management activities and regulatory examinations.
• Promote a risk-aware culture across the organization.
