Job summary

Oak Valley Health seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the interprofessional team, delivering patient and family-centered care across adult, neonatal, and pediatric populations. The RRT will support the department as a Discipline Lead and contribute to education and quality improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in ventilation management, ABG protocols, and invasive/non-invasive techniques while collaborating with ICU, ED, OR and childbirth teams

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
• Minimum 1 year of RRT work experience in acute care; ICU/ED preferred.
• Proficient in intubation, extubation, arterial lines and spirometry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within interprofessional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide patient care to adult, neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Support departments as a discipline lead and participate in interprofessional rounds.
• Lead and participate in CPD activities and student education programs.
• Ensure compliance with respiratory therapy practice standards and safety policies.
