We are partnering with a rapidly growing tech business seeking several Lead Research / Software Engineers on a permanent basis.

Our client is a specialist AI company with a reputation for building cutting-edge Machine Learning solutions, primarily around LLM development. We are looking for Lead AI Software Engineers with extensive Python experience deploying LLMs and leading small teams.

About the Role:

Our client seeks a Lead Research Engineer to drive innovation and technical excellence in machine learning solutions. Responsibilities include:

• Lead Development: Provide technical leadership, guide teams in best practices, and evolve the technology stack.
• Build ML Solutions: Design scalable data pipelines for machine learning research and deployment.
• Deliver High-Quality Software: Use modern development methodologies to build, test, and deploy reliable solutions.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, sharing ideas and driving new approaches.
• Ensure Agility: Adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced development setting.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in machine learning projects.
• Strong Python development skills, with experience in data science libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn.
• Experience integrating machine learning models into scalable systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of automation, DevOps, and system monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with NLP, probabilistic models, and MLOps practices is a plus.
