As part of the CorHealth program at Ontario Health, the Lead, Provincial Emergency Services will leverage their expertise to enhance emergency care quality for Ontarians. This role involves advising, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders, synthesizing evidence, developing strategies, and producing materials for priority projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving emergency care quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading engagement with clinical providers, health system administrators, regional partners, funders, and stakeholders to support multi-year emergency medicine initiatives.
  • Aligning with Ontario Health’s broader strategic initiatives related to health system planning, performance measurement, and reporting.
  • Leading project workstreams and key deliverables to improve service delivery and quality.
  • Developing and refining internal business processes.
  • Engaging with experts to provide strategic advice and thought leadership.
  • Building relationships internally and externally to understand best practices, risks, and needs.
  • Preparing reports, briefings, and presentations based on evidence and best practices, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Exhibiting leadership and integrity in stakeholder interactions.

Qualifications for success:

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree (master’s preferred) in health sciences, policy, administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in developing and leading health system strategies and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to develop guidance, policies, and evaluations.
  • Experience managing large, multi-year projects in complex settings.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario’s healthcare system and the public sector.
