Job Description

Our Resources and Energy subsector, part of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients nationwide. We offer services including economic studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, commissioning, and industrial programming. Our team provides comprehensive services for energy, oil and gas, industrial, and mining projects, from conceptual studies to detailed engineering in EPCM, and mine site closure and dismantling. Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and estimate engineering efforts from design conception to construction documentation
  • Assist in proposal development
  • Prepare/review cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
  • Develop project strategies to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals
  • Interpret project specifications across disciplines
  • Review and approve designs for conformity and quality
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables and updates
  • Monitor design changes and support change order development
  • Act as primary technical contact with clients
  • Provide technical recommendations on complex project aspects
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical reports
  • Mentor junior engineers and team members
  • Develop technical drawings and deliverables (e.g., P&IDs, Line List, DBMs)
  • Develop scope of work and specifications for mechanical equipment
  • Ensure quality control and assurance on projects
  • Review work of others
Minimum Qualifications
  • Engineering degree
  • P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation
  • 10-15 years EPCM experience in the energy sector with 7-10 years project engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills and client interaction experience
  • Proven project leadership and ability to prioritize
  • Experience with design optimization and technical guidance
  • Knowledge of client and corporate procedures
  • Discretion with confidential information
