Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems, and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck, and industrial markets. Job Responsibilities
  • Review and coordinate the shift schedule, adjust labor plans as required.
  • Perform daily checks on safety, quality, and productivity measures.
  • Hold start-up shift meetings; review previous shift information.
  • Adjust work assignments based on absenteeism, training, etc.
  • Conduct area walks to confirm standards; facilitate 5S; initiate corrective actions for non-conformance.
  • Prepare communication information for the next shift.
  • Ensure completion of LPA and TPM; follow up on discrepancies.
  • Review department targets; recommend actions to meet production goals.
  • Support daily production activities, including covering labor shortages.
  • Manage shipping and warehousing activities, including inventory and logistics.
  • Verify packing slips, scanning, and labeling procedures.
  • Provide input for performance appraisals.
  • Analyze and report production results; ensure accurate shift reporting.
  • Lead and guide operators to meet company objectives, ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards.
  • Assist with First Offs and quality issues, including stopping production if necessary.
  • Follow safety policies, conduct safety talks, and respond to hazards.
Skills/Experience Required

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, post-secondary preferred.

Minimum Experience: 4+ years manufacturing, supervisory experience preferred.

Courses: Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act, BEST Supervisor Training, Spill Response, TDG, Clark Software, CMI, 5S, IATF 16949, ISO 14001.

Computer Skills: MS Office, Lotus Notes, CMO, Clark database.

Licenses: Not required but beneficial: counterbalance, scissor lift, reach truck licenses.

Physical Requirements: Lift up to 25kg, stand for long periods, overtime as needed.

Communication Skills: Strong English verbal and written skills.

  • First Aid certification.
  • Deep understanding of Q.A. specs and quality acceptance.
  • Excellent attendance and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible hours and overtime availability.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
