Job summary

TPH Plumbing and Heating in Ottawa, ON is seeking a Project Manager to plan and oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will collaborate with VDC and Fab Shop teams, participate in meetings, and coordinate with site teams.

The successful candidate will have a valid Journeyman Plumber’s License, at least two years of project management experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber’s License is required.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in Project Management.
• Knowledge of construction terminology and provincial building codes.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings, conferences, corporate events, and training as required.
• Collaborate with VDC and Fab Shop teams.
• Coordinate vacation with site teams to ensure no overlap.
• Develop team members’ qualities and assign best suited positions.
• Maintain open communication with Site Supervisors and perform site visits.
• Prepare monthly progress billing and updates with upper management.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and share with clients and staff.
• Delegate tasks based on strengths and experience.
• Attend job showings and meet clients to clarify requirements.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties for project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Define project scope with stakeholders and ensure feasibility.
• Ensure resource availability including deliveries of equipment and material.
• Measure project performance with appropriate tools.
• Develop leadership skills and cultivate client relations and development.
