Job summary

Hall Constructors is seeking a dedicated Pipelayer in Nanaimo, BC to join our site crew. You will drive crew production, mentor labourers, and operate machinery while reading site drawings and identifying soil types for proper trench and backfill operations.

The role requires 2+ years as a civil pipelayer, high school or equivalent, and ability to work overtime and weekends. Respiratory protection tasks are part of the job, with safety training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a civil pipelayer.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Able to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends.
• Respiratory protection tasks; must be clean-shaven and fit-tested.

Responsibilities

• Drives production of the crew.
• Mentor/train labourers & pipelayers.
• Direct machinery.
• Read drawings.
• Identify soil types.
• Ensure correct gravel placement around pipe prior to backfill.
