Alstar Group is seeking a seasoned supervisor to lead pipe fabrication teams in a safety-first shop in Western Canada. You will oversee 10+ skilled workers, ensure quality welds, and drive practical workflow solutions.

Lead by example, mentor welders in FCAW/GMAW and fit-up, and interpret isometric drawings to maintain orderly production. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership and a commitment to safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience leading teams of 10+ people.
• Certifications: CSO, Intermediate First Aid, Fall Protection, and WHMIS.
• Hands-on pipe fabrication background with knowledge of pipe schedules, fittings, and spool work.
• Mentorship to train welders in fit-up, FCAW/GMAW welding, and shop best practices.
• Ability to interpret isometric drawings and maintain a clean, safety-first shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor teams of 10+ in a pipe fabrication environment.
• Ensure safety standards and quality in all welding and fabrication tasks.
• Coordinate workflow from material reception to spool completion.
• Train welders in fit-up, welding techniques, and shop procedures.
• Maintain organized, efficient shop operations and document isometric drawings.
