About Our Church
Our church is a welcoming, family-oriented community with a strong foundation of faith and service. Most of our congregation has been attending for 6-9 years or more, with many actively involved in volunteering (83%) and engaging in church activities beyond Sunday mornings (73%). Position Overview

We are looking for a visionary and relational Lead Pastor who will shepherd our church with strong Biblical teaching, compassionate pastoral care, and a heart for evangelism. The ideal candidate will inspire and equip our congregation for spiritual growth, discipleship, and leadership development while fostering deeper community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preaching & Teaching: Deliver engaging, Bible-based sermon series that are relevant, practical, and rooted in apologetics. A relatable style with personal stories and humor is appreciated.
2. Visionary Leadership: Cast and implement a vision for church growth, with a focus on reaching the next generation and expanding community involvement.
3. Mentoring & Discipleship: Develop and support staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers, raising up new leaders within the congregation.
4. Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate support to members through visitation (especially seniors and those in need), counseling, and encouragement.
5. Evangelism & Outreach: Lead the church in actively reaching the lost, both in personal evangelism and structured outreach efforts.
6. Church Communication: Ensure consistent and transparent communication with the congregation through various channels (announcements, emails, social media, etc.).
7. Service & Community Engagement: Encourage and support our strong culture of volunteering, fostering deeper engagement with both church ministries and local outreach initiatives.

Required Skills

1. Deep Biblical knowledge with a foundation in apologetics.
2. Strong preaching and teaching ability, preferably with a series-based approach.
3. Have recent pastoral experience of a minimum of 5 years, with a track record of mentoring staff and raising up leaders.
4. Passion for pastoral care, with experience in counseling and visitation.
5. A heart for evangelism and community outreach.
6. Excellent communication and relational skills.
7. Must hold current credentials and be ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC).

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in theology, religious studies, or a related field.

Experience Required

1. Experience as a lead pastor of a church of up to 150 attendees and/or associate pastor of a church with 150+ attendees.
2. Experience at a church during a period of significant growth.
