Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Mechanical Designer / CET / Engineer for our Kelowna, BC office. The role focuses on designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings, with project leadership from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical building systems experience, a P.L Eng or P.Eng designation (or eligibility in BC), and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical building systems design experience.
• P.L Eng or P.Eng designation (or eligibility for registration in BC).
• Strong understanding of local codes, ASHRAE guidelines, and mechanical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the design of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for a range of building types.
• Collaborate with architects, clients, and consultants to deliver coordinated and code-compliant designs.
• Prepare mechanical layouts and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Conduct site visits, assessments, and provide construction-phase support.
• Manage your own project timelines and maintain proactive communication with clients.
• Contribute to a supportive, forward-thinking team culture.
