Job summary

CIMA+ Buildings team in Edmonton is seeking a Technologist to support the design and drafting of building mechanical systems for institutional, commercial, and municipal projects. This role requires strong Revit Building Systems and AutoCAD 2D experience and involves coordination with engineers to ensure integrated designs.

Responsibilities include HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems design, plus site visits and adherence to REVIT/CAD standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with Revit Building Systems and AutoCAD 2D
• The ability to adapt to and adhere to internal and external REVIT/CAD and design standards
• Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis
• Valid Canadian drivers licence with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections
• Excellent communication skills (in English)
• Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

• Design, modeling and drafting of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC control systems using Revit and AutoCAD
• Implementing redline markups from engineers
• Coordinating with engineers to ensure design is integrated with other disciplines
• Design calculations under supervision of a Senior Engineer
• Occasional site visits to survey existing conditions and document construction
• Continued professional development through internal and external learning opportunities
