Job summary

The University of Toronto’s Daniels Faculty seeks a sessional lecturer to lead a design studio in Architecture. The appointee will prepare and deliver course content, provide student feedback, and guide studio work.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture (or related design) and relevant professional experience; landscape architecture teaching is an asset. Diversity statements are encouraged; CUPE 3902 Unit 3 terms apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (or related design discipline) and relevant professional experience in design.
• Preferred: professional degree in landscape architecture and teaching landscape design at undergraduate or graduate level.
• Demonstrated design excellence will be evaluated via portfolio and awards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design studio section under the direction of a course coordinator.
• Prepare and deliver course content in a design studio setting; develop assignments.
• Provide students with regular feedback and grade student work according to policy.
• Supervise teaching assistants and manage student contact hours.
