Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to support mining and heavy industrial projects in Canada. You will lead instrument and control system design, verification of deliverables, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

10-15 years of combined consulting and mining industry experience.
Experience checking I&C deliverables.
Experience commissioning instrumentation and industrial control systems.
Willingness to travel as required.
Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).

Responsibilities

Provide E&I engineering technical support for mining and heavy industry projects.
Define scope, budget and schedule with the team; manage design deliverables.
Lead and review instrumentation and control system design, P&IDs, loop diagrams.
Coordinate project meetings between engineering, PM, operations and clients.
Mentor junior staff and maintain high technical excellence.
Support commissioning, troubleshooting and operational activities in the field.
