Dumont Technical Institute, a division within the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position:

Lead Instructor – Primary Care Paramedic Program

Responsibilities:
The Lead Instructor is responsible for planning and facilitating the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program. This will include lectures, tutorials, labs, scenario-based skill practice, small groups, and student support. The successful candidate will manage the learning environment in alignment with program policies and accreditation requirements, evaluate program delivery and student outcomes, communicate student progress, concerns, and program updates to appropriate program partners. The role also requires maintaining positive working relationships with students, instructors, program administrators, practicum partners, employers, and community stakeholders while supporting an inclusive and effective learning environment.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have completed an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) program from an approved institution, possess a minimum of two years of recent ACP experience, hold current licensure in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) and subject to approval by Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Candidates must have current instructor-level certification in International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), as well as provider-level certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of adult education principles, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish effective relationships with learners, stakeholders, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Additional instructor-level certifications in TWMFR, GPA, SGI Defensive Driving, and PEPP are considered assets.

Remuneration: $72,038 – $94,798 GDI Faculty II wage grid
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Term: May 2027 to April 2028
