Job summary

Purolator Inc. is seeking a Lead Hub Operations Excellence Engineer to drive network strategy, facility planning and operational excellence across our Ontario hub network.

You will apply engineering practices, analytics and cross-functional leadership to optimize performance and enable growth. The role requires a minimum of five years in engineering with four to eight years in supply chain, plus proficiency in SAP, PowerBI, AutoCAD, Visio and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or BS in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 4-8 years of relevant work in a high-availability Supply Chain (Transportation/Network/logistics).
• Strong competency with Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Visio, Process Mapping, and PowerBI.
• Lean/Six Sigma training (Green Belt preferred).
• Experience managing/leading a team.
• Ability to effectively implement change and utilize change management principles.
• Strong leadership, project and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects in Agile.
• Knowledge in SAP applications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Purolator’s network strategy and design strategy work.
• Use engineering practices to develop optimum operating profiles.
• Improve material handling layouts for ergonomics, safety, capacity and productivity.
• Develop and deploy strategic facility road map with new technologies.
• Lead cross-functional projects and teams as a change agent.
