A leading health authority is seeking a Lead Hand Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations and manage staff. The role emphasizes patient safety and quality improvement, requiring effective communication and organizational skills. Candidates should have Grade 10 education and relevant experience.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement of quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Under the direction of the Manager or designate, the Lead Hand Housekeeper performs a variety of housekeeping and cleaning duties. They also direct and coordinate 5-16 housekeeping staff as assigned and are responsible for the completion of these assignments.
Grade 10 plus three years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
