As our Shop / Field Lead Hand , you'll play an integral role in assisting the Shop Supervisor with day-to-day planning, organization, and workflow. You may also perform major diagnostics and repairs. You are responsible for providing the highest quality of leadership and service, and for complying with the company's established policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for developing and coaching apprentices.

• Keeping Your Cool . You may need to work under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on communication and quality service. You will have an abundance of patience. This can be a physical job with heavy lifting and carrying. The pace can be fast, the hours can be long during busy cycles, and you may also need to work overtime. You will also realize that you need to recharge regularly we insist that you take your vacation time!
• Mentorship. Listen actively and perform competence analysis of apprentice technicians. Identify areas for them to improve and provide on the job training to assist in their development.
• Organization. This is a detail-oriented position and you have already developed personal systems for organizing your work and organizing the techs on your team.

Experience Required :

• Red Seal or Journeyman Technician Certification
• 2-5 years related experience
• Solid knowledge of equipment systems and repairs
• Good communications skills with customers, peers and supervisors
• Basic knowledge of computer applications
• Committed to continuous learning
• Strong technical background and capable of communicating with technicians and customers regarding parts and service
• Health & Safety Knowledge OH & S rules and regulations guidelines

Education Required :

• May be asked to work evenings and weekends
• Position duties also include the completion of any additional tasks or projects as requested
