The Peter Lougheed Centre is offering this opportunity for a Full-Time Lead Hand in the FM&E department. This role is ideal for a motivated and energetic individual who thrives in a leadership position within a fast-paced environment focused on patient care and workplace safety.
The Lead Hand supervises the Hospital Facilities Tradesmen, Technologists, and Maintenance Worker Teams, performs trade duties as needed, and reports to the Manager/Director. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, scheduling work, inspecting projects, liaising with stakeholders, reviewing drawings, generating cost estimates, leading process improvements, ensuring safety and PPE compliance, orienting and training staff, and adhering to Infection Prevention and Control procedures.
As a Lead Hand, you will provide supervision to a team of journeyperson trade staff, perform trade duties, assign work, and ensure health and safety compliance. Qualifications include completion of an accredited Journeyperson Certificate in trades from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Preferred qualifications are as specified.
