Job summary
Tech Talent International is seeking a Lead Full Stack Product Engineer for a major modernization project in Montreal. This permanent/long-term contract role requires strong full-stack expertise in modern technologies and a focus on quality and automation.
The position offers a base salary of 120000–130000 CAD with a 9% bonus, 4–5 weeks vacation, RRSP matching, benefits, and additional perks. Hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite, English and French required.
Qualifications
- Senior developer capable of modernizing legacy and new architectures.
- 8+ years in software development within enterprise environments.
- Strong autonomy with Agile delivery experience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to modernization and refactoring of legacy components.
- Develop new services and features across front-end and back-end.
- Integrate with internal and partner systems and improve test automation.
- Improve delivery pipelines and observability of applications.
- Collaborate with architects and specialists within the squad.

We currently have a role as an Lead Full Stack Product Engineer - Enterprise Modernization with our large consulting client, working for a large modernization project for a public sector, crown corporation in the Montreal area.
Contribute to the incremental modernization of legacy applications by participating in the analysis, development, refactoring and integration of new application components into target architectures.
- Understand the existing application and its business area.
- Carry out the refactoring and modernization of components.
- Develop new services and features.
- Participate in integrations with internal and partner systems.
- Contribute to test automation.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of delivery pipelines.
- Perform functional, integration and performance testing.
- Instrument applications to improve their observability.
- Participate in the resolution of complex incidents.
- Collaborate with the squad's architects and specialists.

- Experience modernizing or redesigning existing applications.
