Qualifications

• 4+ years hands‑on software engineering experience building end‑to‑end features across frontend and backend
• Experience with Java, REST APIs, microservices, Angular, and React in full‑stack apps
• Cloud‑first, Agile solutions using Google Cloud Platform, IaC, and cloud‑native development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java, REST APIs, and microservices
• Build and enhance responsive front‑end apps using Angular and React
• Develop cloud‑native solutions on Google Cloud Platform with IaC and cloud services
• Support solution design, documentation, code reviews, and delivery planning across workstreams
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and automate testing and deployment
• Apply secure coding practices, performance optimization, and quality engineering across SDLC
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Provide guidance to team members and contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint execution
• Work 3 days per week in the Ottawa office; travel may be required
