Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior software engineer in Ottawa to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and cloud-native applications. You will work with Java, REST APIs, and microservices, and build modern front-end interfaces with Angular and React.

The role emphasizes cloud-first delivery, Agile practices, and collaboration with architects, product owners, and stakeholders. On-site work three days per week is required, with potential for government or regulated sector projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience developing full stack applications using Java, REST APIs, microservices, Angular, and React.
• Experience building scalable front-end and back-end components and delivering cloud-first, Agile solutions using Google Cloud Platform, IaC, and cloud-native development.
• Proficiency in Application Design, with scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Experience with DevOps, automated testing, release management, SQA, and ALM.
• Must be open to working from the office three times per week.
• Eligibility for Reliability Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Build and enhance responsive front-end applications using Angular and React.
• Develop cloud-native solutions and infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform, IaC, and cloud-native patterns.
• Support solution design, technical documentation, code reviews, and delivery planning across front-end and back-end workstreams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, with automated testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Apply secure coding practices, performance optimization, and quality engineering across SDLC.
• Collaborate with architects, managers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies.
