Job summary

Landmark Solutions is seeking a Lead Estimator in Salmon Arm, BC, to lead the estimating team for civil and infrastructure bids. You will manage bid priorities, review estimates and guide the team to deliver accurate, competitive submissions.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with project managers and construction leaders to ensure executable bids and sound risk assessments. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive construction estimating experience including civil or infrastructure bids.
• Experience leading, mentoring or reviewing other estimators.
• Ability to interpret drawings and contract requirements and assess commercial risks.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software; experience with Bridge/Marine projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating workloads and establish bid schedules.
• Coach and mentor estimators and review their work.
• Prepare accurate estimates for complex opportunities.
• Review drawings, specs, tender docs and site conditions to define scope.
• Ensure timely submission and handover of bids.
• Maintain estimating tools and cost databases.
