Job summary

GE Vernova's GridBeats R&D team seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to collaborate with hardware, systems, software, and program management to deliver cutting-edge measurement and networking products for a global market.

You will own platform software design and testing, drive reusable architectures, and influence product strategy with a focus on safety, reliability, and scalable digital transformation in power grid networks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in STEM from an accredited college or university.
Experience with Embedded Linux and RTOS.
Experience with Agile Scrum development and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound scientific / engineering principles and practices.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and applying expertise to execute technology strategies.
Establishes system requirements, defines components and subsystems, and collaborates with Product Owners on backlog.
Uses judgment to propose solutions outside preset parameters with guidance and solves straightforward tasks.
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments, focusing on safety and reliability.
Drives platform reuse strategies and processes.
Trade studies related to technologies such as operating systems, software architectures, frameworks, and tools.
