Job summary

Keyera is seeking a Team Lead for Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls at our Fort Saskatchewan South facility. You will oversee day-to-day maintenance, reliability, and operations with a focus on electrical, instrumentation, controls, and DCS activities.

The role requires a Journeyman certification with 7+ years in oil & gas, live-plant experience, and strong leadership. You will mentor technicians, coordinate with planners, and support safety and budgeting efforts as part of Keyera's

Qualifications

  • Instrumentation/Electrical Journeyman or Red Seal Certification; dual ticket considered an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years' as a Journeyman with hands-on oil and gas industry experience.
  • Live plant experience in Industrial Maintenance and/or Turnarounds.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (Loop drawings, Data sheets, Panels).
  • Maximo work order processing experience is an asset.
  • Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork with communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of duties (lifting, heights).
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily Service Request reviews with Planner and Scheduler to ensure work is needed and properly detailed.
  • Assign work orders to Instrument, Electrical, and DCS Technicians from the weekly schedule.
  • Prioritize break-in work and adjust the schedule accordingly.
  • Support technicians in planning high-priority break-in work safely.
  • Assist Planner with planning corrective and preventive maintenance work orders.
  • Lead monthly backlog reviews with stakeholders.
  • Provide technical resource for instrument, electrical, and DCS disciplines.
  • Visit sites to ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
  • Support engineering on Hazops and design reviews.
  • Guide stakeholders in disciplines and contribute to budgeting.
