Job summary

Keyera is seeking a Team Lead, Operations to oversee day-to-day operations at the Empress VI facility near Medicine Hat, Alberta. The successful candidate must reside within 100 kilometers of the site and will lead a diverse operations team to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.

With a minimum of a 2nd class Power Engineer certificate and 10 years in operations (including 5+ years in leadership), you will drive process improvements, uphold safety, and coordinate across departments

Qualifications

• Minimum 2nd class Power Engineer certificate.
• Ten years’ operations experience, at least five years in leadership supervising field staff.
• Shutdown/turnaround experience is an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and an incident- and injury-free workplace.
• Ability to work effectively across department boundaries and lead improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation activities for the plant.
• Investigate and correct deviations to production or energy targets.
• Support continuous improvements to the work management workflow process.
• Perform Shift Engineer responsibilities ensuring adherence to safety and regulations.
• Ensure diligent rounds are conducted and that the team operates safely and efficiently.
• Provide coverage for absent Chief Engineers/Ops Leaders.
