Job summary

Cytiva in Burnaby, BC, part of Danaher, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to design, develop and improve electrical systems for advanced industrial automation, including aseptic filling workcells.

You will create documentation, specify components, perform DFMEA, verify and validate, and ensure compliance with safety standards while supporting assembly and testing and collaborating across mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical system integration from wiring to commissioning.
• Experience with motors, drives, sensors and automation equipment.
• Experience supporting cross‑functional engineering projects and project milestones.
• Structured engineering methodologies such as DfX, DFMEA, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design documentation for industrial automation (schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs).
• Design and implement electrical systems from R&D to production readiness with regulatory compliance.
• Support cable assembly, component integration, installation and testing activities.
• Create 3D layouts of electrical components for manufacturability and safety.
• Drive continuous improvement through cross‑functional collaboration.
