Job summary

Rosewood Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd. is seeking a Lead Hand to coordinate daily driver dispatch, manage schedules, and uphold safety standards across bulk transport operations. The role emphasizes strong communication with customers and drivers, as well as proactive equipment checks and documentation.

Ideal candidates will have Grade 12 education, a Class 1 driver’s license, and experience with logbooks/Electronic Logging Devices. Rotational shifts and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education and a valid Class 1 driver’s license are required.
• Completion of an accredited driving program is expected.
• Experience with logbooks and Electronic Logging Devices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch of drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Schedule drivers and equipment to meet operational requirements.
• Support Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Assist Operations Manager with driver scheduling, vacation planning, and workforce coordination.
• Communicate with customers and drivers to support efficient operations.
• Provide guidance on routes and schedules to drivers.
• Conduct routine equipment and yard inspections and report deficiencies.
• Maintain dispatch and driver records; submit reports on time.
• Provide coverage for driving assignments as needed.
