Role Context

Digital First for Health (DFfH) is central to transforming the healthcare system to be integrated, sustainable, and patient-centered. Digital capabilities such as virtual care, online appointment booking, digital access, connected tools for providers, and data analytics are essential.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead, Digital Health Innovation and Transformation, will coordinate digital health activities within a specific regional cluster, collaborating with team members across Ontario Health Central Region.

Scope

This role is regional, focusing on regional needs and partnerships, including OHTs and other stakeholders in the designated geographic area.

Responsibilities include

• Managing relationships with regional partners and guiding them towards digital plans aligned with provincial strategies.
• Identifying collaboration opportunities and funding prospects.
• Developing proposals and business cases for digital health initiatives.
• Building and maintaining effective partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
• Sharing best practices and fostering regional consistency in digital health adoption.
• Engaging with delivery partners and other portfolios to advance digital health initiatives.
• Developing strategies to increase adoption, spread, and scale of digital solutions.
• Supporting digital strategy development and participating in advisory councils.
• Monitoring project implementation, evaluating impact, and ensuring sustainability and integration across the region.

Qualifications for Success

Education and Experience:

• University degree in business, health administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years in healthcare/digital roles, with experience in project management, health system planning, or partner engagement.
• Knowledge of Ontario’s healthcare system and digital health strategies is an asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to influence, facilitate, and build partnerships.
• Analytical thinking, strategic planning, and change management skills.
• Technical aptitude with healthcare systems and data analytics.

Additional Details

Location: Central Region, Ontario (hybrid; subject to change)

Contract: 16 months, full-time, Band 6
