The Opportunity

The Lead Development Representative (LDR) will play a critical role in driving the growth of our business by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new sales leads within our target market. In this role, you will work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to build a strong pipeline of prospective clients, ensuring our solutions meet their needs and setting the stage for successful sales conversions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resilient, and skilled in using CRM systems to track and manage opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Proactively research and identify new business opportunities within our target market using our tech stack.
  • Sales Pipeline Development: Effectively hand qualified leads to Business Development Reps and work collaboratively to ensure seamless transitions into the sales funnel.
  • Data Management: Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) to track lead status, activities, and performance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on campaign performance, messaging, and lead quality to improve lead generation efforts.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, customer needs, and competitors to continuously refine lead-generation strategies and approach.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on lead development activities, pipeline health, and performance metrics to the sales leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Relevant education or experience in a sales or marketing position, either in B2C or B2B capacity.
  • Understanding of SaaS industry.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Tech-savvy - able to learn and understand technology.
  • A track record of meeting goals and objectives that are set out for you.
  • Inquisitive in nature and understand the importance of qualifying prospects.
  • Confident and passionate when engaging with customers.
  • Genuine relationship-builder and want to help other people solve their business problems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with a CRM or Salesforce is advantageous.

Location

This position will be hybrid, working 3 days/week in our Oakville, ON office.
