The Global Wealth Engineering Portfolio Management team is transforming the digital experience for clients by partnering closely with McLeod and PIC lines of business to enhance Fee Billing, Reporting, and Performance applications. Our goal is to help investors manage their investments and achieve their financial goals.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and results-oriented Lead Developer to help build modernized platforms and applications for our lines of business. Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead technical decision-making for scrum teams, collaborating with solutions architects and other technical leads.
2. Develop coding standards and testing approaches.
3. Work with the delivery lead to plan milestones, ensure successful software delivery, and escalate issues as needed.
4. Design and develop using tools like Google GCP, ETL programming, and Java Spring Boot.
5. Analyze complex business requirements; generate technical specifications for software components and applications.
6. Apply industry best practices to design, test, implement, and support solutions.
7. Ensure security and compliance requirements are met.
8. Adapt to evolving environments and technologies.
9. Provide production support for maintained applications.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Experience building scalable, enterprise-level technology stacks with Java and other tools.
2. 7+ years of web service development with Java 8+ (minimum 2 years), Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Swagger/OAS, Log4j, RESTful and SOAP services.
3. 2+ years working with ETL tools like DataStage and Talend.
4. 5+ years of database development with SQL, AzureSQL, Sybase, or MS SQL.
5. Experience with application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk.
6. Practical experience designing and developing microservices using modern practices like Domain-Driven Design, event-driven architectures, reactive programming, and distributed caching.
