Job summary

Princeton IT Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Data Scientist to develop and deploy sophisticated ML/DL solutions, including GenAI techniques, across cross-functional teams in Toronto.

You will transform complex business challenges into scientific research problems and lead end-to-end data science projects. You will perform data extraction, cleaning, modeling, and evaluation while ensuring governance and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of proven experience in developing and deploying Machine learning and Deep learning solutions end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of ML/DL, GenAI and the math behind it.
• Excellent scientific communication skills.
• Experience with data governance, privacy, and data handling standards.
• GenAI based solutions using LLM, vector databases and agentic frameworks.
• Master’s in computer science or quantitative field; PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transform business challenges into research problems and design data-driven solutions.
• Develop data-driven solutions using AI, ML, DL, GenAI, and related techniques.
• Hands-on data extraction, analysis, cleaning, modeling, and evaluation.
• Conduct data analysis to support business cases and proofs of concept.
• Lead end-to-end data science projects across the organization.
• Deploy, document, maintain, and monitor solutions.
• Present results to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Protect algorithms and consider publishing at conferences.
• Build prototypes and conduct tool evaluations.
