Job summary

Unison Group is seeking a Lead Solution Architect – Data Engineering to anchor a fast-growing Databricks practice. You will design enterprise data architectures, own large migrations, and drive cloud transformations while mentoring engineers and creating reusable accelerators.

You will lead presales, translate technical trade-offs for execs, and contribute to go-to-market offerings with hands-on data platform delivery and governance expertise.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data engineering/architecture
• 3+ on Databricks at enterprise scale
• Strong Python/SQL/Scala experience
• Hands-on in performance tuning and debugging
• Presales experience and ability to defend designs

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and design decisions on Databricks engagements.
• Lead production-grade data platform delivery: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, governance via Unity Catalog, BI/ML enablement.
• Lead large migrations and cloud transformations to Databricks on Azure/AWS/GCP; plan waves and cutover.
• Stay hands-on: performance tuning, code/design reviews, engineering standards.
