MPAC is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive enterprise data initiatives across Ontario. You will lead design and delivery of scalable data platforms, pipelines and cloud-native solutions that support analytics, operational reporting and AI initiatives.

You will guide engineering standards, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to minimize risk and ensure secure, scalable data services. This role offers hybrid work options and significant impact on public services.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in enterprise data engineering or related roles with technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of data platforms, data modelling and DataOps practices.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and cloud-native solutions.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data engineering initiatives.
• Lead design, development and optimization of scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Establish engineering standards and DataOps/DevOps practices.
• Design OLTP systems supporting scalable, high-performance workloads.
• Implement data governance, security, metadata and observability.
• Collaborate with tech and business teams to deliver data capabilities.
