Job summary

RBC seeks a Lead Engineer, Climate Solutions to drive large-scale data processing and analytical platforms. You will partner with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to design robust tech solutions that scale in on‑premise and cloud environments.

You’ll help ensure data quality, performance, and secure, well-tested code across the data lifecycle while communicating clearly with stakeholders and leading a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years in programming with 2+ years in team leadership and end-to-end project ownership.
• Expert in Hadoop, Apache Spark, Python, Scala, Hive; CI/CD experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across data lifecycles.
• Lead deployment of analytics and ML models into production systems.
