Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a skilled Cook for our Long-Term Care residence to prepare and serve meals on time and to maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and dining area. In this supervisory role you will direct Food Services Workers, address resident or family concerns within your authority, and ensure a warm, home-like environment for residents.

You will need a Safe Food Handling Certificate, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and a diploma/certificate in quality food preparation and production;

Qualifications

• Supervisory cook experience preferred.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in quality food preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
• Direct Food Services Workers in daily duties and responsibilities.
• Address resident or family concerns within decision-making authority.
