Qualifications

• 2–3 years arborist experience including climbing and crew leadership
• Ontario DZ license with clean abstract (may train)
• Proficient tree identification and daily climbing comfort
• Knowledge of rigging, pruning and removal techniques
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working at heights
• ISA Certified Arborist or eligibility to obtain certification is an asset
• First Aid certification and Air Brake Endorsement are assets

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew in tree pruning, removals, and stump grinding using safe climbing and rigging techniques.
• Operate and maintain equipment (chainsaws, chippers, bucket trucks, ropes).
• Perform tree health assessments and identify species.
• Ensure job-site safety including risk assessments and equipment inspections.
• Communicate with clients and team to deliver excellent service.
• Complete daily logs and maintain clean, organized work sites.
