Responsibilities

The Lead Client Systems Engineer provides strategic leadership for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing Epic’s client-side infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, performance, and security of Epic Hyperspace, enterprise printing, and third-party integrations across clinical and operational environments. Key responsibilities include setting technical standards, driving best practices, leading initiatives to enhance system reliability and user experience, providing hands-on technical expertise, mentoring team members, and overseeing custom programming and system integrations. The role requires independent judgment, effective prioritization, and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Epic EHR systems in a technical role.
  • Epic certification(s) in modules such as Epic Bridges, EpicCare, Hyperspace, etc.
  • Experience supporting Epic client systems in healthcare IT.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows-based environments and Epic Hyperspace deployment.
  • Familiarity with Citrix, VMware, SCCM, and application delivery technologies.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and Active Directory policies related to Epic.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding hospital operations and IT applications in healthcare.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) certification or similar.
  • Experience with automation tools for Epic deployments.
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Batch, VBScript) for system administration.

The estimated annual total rewards range from $90,126.40 to $212,139.20. The exact starting salary will be determined based on experience, education, and credentials.
